The Labasheeda Set (Co. Clare):

Pattern for figures 1 to 4 (sequence is clockwise, i.e. 1st tops, 1st sides, 2nd tops, 2nd sides)
All: lead around, turn the lady (8) and swing (8) [16]
1st Couple: dance the Figure and all swing
2nd Couple: dance the Figure and all swing
3rd Couple: dance the Figure and all swing
4th Couple: dance the Figure and all swing
All: house around to finish [8]

The Figure for figures 1 to 4:
1st figure (reel):
drop off the lady
dance inside, drop off the lady (8) and repeat until back in place (24)[32]
2nd figure (reel):
high gates
dance inside (8) and high gates with the lady on the left (8) [16]
(gent, take hands nearest you, then partner/visitor/partner)
3rd figure (reel):
swing in four
dance inside (8) and swing in four with the couple on the left (8)[16]
4th figure (reel):
lady's revenge
dance inside, drop off the gent (8) and repeat until back in place (24)[32]

Traditionally, the four reel figures would be danced, followed by either the jig or the fling and then the hornpipe. Nowadays it is common to dance the jig, then the fling, then the hornpipe.

Pattern for The Jig:
All: lead around, turn the lady (8) and swing (8) [16]
Tops: dance the Figure
All: dance at home [8]
Sides: dance the Figure
All: dance at home (8) and house around to finish (8)[16]

The Figure for The Jig:
The Jig: dancing couples dance around each other [8]
advance/retire, ladies cross, right to right, while gents do one turn in place [8]
dance around each other with new partners [8]
advance/retire, ladies back home, gents dance into place with the lady on the left [8]
ladies stay home, while the gents repeat the figure with the new partners [32]


Pattern for The Fling:
All: lead around, turn the lady (8) and (slow) swing (8) [16]
Tops: dance the Figure
Sides: dance the Figure
Tops: dance the Figure
Sides: dance the Figure
All: dance at home (8) and house around to finish (8)[16]

The Figure for The Fling:
The Fling: dance in/out, double in place, dance in/out, double across [8]
dance in/out, double in place, dance in/out, double back home [8]
left arms with the opposite person, dance in/out, double in place [8]
dance around the opposite couple, doubling the last two bars [8]


Pattern and Figure for the Hornpipe:
Hornpipe All four couples:
body (16), house (8) with your own partner [24]
advance/retire in waltz hold, ladies dance on one place to the right, inside the set, while gents dance clockwise in place, then all dance one turn in place with new partners [8]
body (16), house (8) with the new partner partner [24]
repeat until you have danced the body/house again with your own partner
