The North Kerry Set (Co. Kerry):

Pattern for figures 1 to 4:

Repeat 4 times (2 times in figure 4):
- All: dance the body [16]
- Dancing Couple(s): dance the Figure
All: dance the body to finish [16]

The sequence is clockwise, i.e. 1st tops, 1st sides, 2nd tops, 2nd sides.

The Figure for figures 1 to 4:
1st figure (polka):

dancing couple and opposite couple:
- right hands in the center (4), left hands in the center (4)[8]
- both couples swing at home [8]
2nd figure (polka):

dancing couple:
- dance inside ("show the lady") [8]
- slide in/out (4), dance at home (4) [8]
3rd figure (slide):

dancing couple and opposite couple:
- slide in/out (4), dance to opposite (4)[8]
- slide in/out (4), dance to home (4)[8]
4th figure (polka):

all 4 couples:
- 4 ladies cross the set holding right hands in the center (2), left hand to opposite gent, around opposite gent turning under (4), right hands in the center back to place (2)[8]
- swing your partner at home [8]

Hornpipe:
All: body (16), house (8) with your own partner [24]
All: ladies move on and repeat until you have danced the figure again with your own partner

How the ladies move on in this set:
- gents dance in/out as in the body, while ladies dance on to the gent on their right [2]
- with your new partner, dance on to the next place [2]
- from there, dance the the remaining three-quarters of the body, back to the gent's place [12]
